Background

Zozo’s full name was Zo Zolz’ya; a name which prevailed itself to be a tongue twister to most she met. She adopted the abridged “Zozo” to at least make that part of societal co-mingling easier. It made for a snappier stage name anyway.

Once of a Jinnborn tribe, Zozo strayed from her Path when she realized her lack of incentive to find the Hidden World. She grew to take umbrage with the very concept of it, in fact. In her eyes, her peoples’ fixation on a promised paradise made them blind to the beauty that was their immediate world — worse yet, it made them condemn and fear it, rather than to understand or better it. As a result of her defiance of the tribe elders and the Path they set before her, she was exiled.

Her expulsion hurt, being cast away from her only kin and ilk, but she also wouldn’t have it any other way. She was now free to seek out the beauty she believed in — to truly behold and experience it — and express it to others however she wished. It wasn’t long before she realized nothing caught attention quite like a song. Hearing the ballads of wandering troubadours was revelatory to her: the power of the fusion between word and melody. She found herself examining and appreciating words all the more in this way... and became inspired.

This would be her path. She would become a bard, and travel the lands glimpsing the world’s beauty and putting into words such that others may understand.

Personality Beauty is brightest in the dark. There is no art without pain — and lo', this world will ever provide.
Ideal Honesty. The purest art is raw reflection; a picture embellished with fantasies is an ugly lie.
Bond I want others to see the world's oft-forgotten beauty, and I hope my songs may so inspire.
Flaw I'm resigned, however, to my life's futility. My search for beauty will plunge me ever deeper— until there's no coming back.
