Background

Seylessa spent her youth doing what many young centaurs do: raiding. Her father and mother were quite adept at the art of war, but their talent (un)fortunately did not transfer to their daughter. She was prone to injury and often forced the raiding party she was apart of to temporarily halt or even abandon their goals. Sylessa herself didn’t much enjoy the life of thievery that her people had accepted, finding such a way of life entirely unpleasant. She was much happier at home, serving in a more supportive capacity. She apprenticed to the village blacksmith for a number of years and honed her metalworking skills. It wasn’t long, however, before it became clear that Seylessa was a far better smith than even her master. Many villagers came to her exclusively for their needs, and people would often exclaim that she was “blessed by Volund,” the god of smithing.

Her master wasn’t too happy about his apprentice’s newfound status, and ‘encouraged’ Seylessa to leave the village and ‘further her skills’ elsewhere. This suited the young centaur just fine, since she had grown attached to both her new profession and her unexpected interest in Volund. Perhaps she was indeed blessed by the god, for her own divine powers began to manifest during her journey. Seylessa traveled to the Lignas region in the Southlands, where her skills attracted the attention of a smithing guild. She joined the guild soon after, her time spent outfitting adventurers looking for quality equipment at a discount.

It was through some of these adventurers that she became aware of the troubles happening in Mafri. Sensing an opportunity to further expand her abilities and help those in need, Seylessa set out for the TOMB OF THE SERPENT KINGS!!!

Horrible Death

Seylessa died horribly while attempting to flee a black ooze monster that had gobbled up her pike. More importantly, several magical items were lost that she had collected moments earlier.
