Fungus Goblins
Small, goblinoid creatures with red pinprick eyes and a bodies with flesh resembling mushrooms. They are often in rags and emaciated.
Description
Bony, white-skinned creatures that have flesh with the texture of fungus. The red pinpricks, razor sharp teeth, too-wide grins, and emaciated bodies make them look unnerving and fearsome despite their small stature.
Behavior
They are like normal goblins in temperament and behavior, but constantly hungry and obsessed with finding more to eat. They are relatively easy to fool, and have taken on at least one adventurer in the past as their "king". It was revealed that the king would serve as a food source. Rather than engage in combat directly, they prefer to harass their prey with guerilla tactics. Some warriors have spoken of returning to their horses to find the poor steeds legs chewed off.
Abilities
They are extremely agile and can eat almost anything.
Combat
Fungus goblins are weak and numerous. One fungus goblin poses no threat, but they swarm their prey and fell them under the sheer amount of goblins. They tend to carry crude weapons like spears, or even cutlery.
History
Their origin is unknown. They aren't like any goblins seen on the surface.
Ecology
Fungus goblins can be found in a cavern on the third level of the Tomb of the Serpent Kings.
Languages
Fungus goblins speak Trade Tongue. They may speak other languages as well, but not enough interaction has been had to determine the truth.
