Known as the Swamp Sage, or the Sage of the Swamp, Ethel is a witch that lives in the bog outside Jokari. Spoken of in hushed whispers, her name draws dirty looks. Despite her reputation, the townspeople begrudgingly approach her when they need help, such as infertile couples having trouble bearing children, curing diseases, and aiding young women who became pregnant out of wedlock. It is said she can work miracles.
